About Fergie

My dad taught me that family comes first; always.

In the rather short time I had with him, just as I was becoming an adult and a new mom, I saw firsthand what real trust looks like, when he became ill.  Despite being divorced for years, the person he chose to handle his finances when he no longer could focus on them, was my mom.  Not because it was convenient - but because it was safe.  Her careful guidance, both then and in the years since, helping several senior family friends navigate their finances, continues to influence how I approach responsibility and compassion.

He believed in protecting what mattered.  He made sure I always had a place to call home.  He valued integrity over appearances and loyalty over convenience.

Watching that shaped me more then I realized at the time.

Today, the work I do is rooted in that same principle - when someone entrusts me with their financial world, it's never just about bills and paperwork.  It's about protection, dignity and peace of mind.

   Fergie Solutions LLC is a woman-owned business — and the heart behind it is big. I'm Charlene Ferguson — offering two service lines - Bookkeeping by Fergie and Fergie Cares. With over 25 years of experience in small business accounting and operations, I bring patience, precision, and compassion to every client.

I specialize in helping clients stay financially organized and confident — whether that means supporting a business owner with bookkeeping, helping a senior manage bills and paperwork, or guiding an adult with disabilities through day-to-day financial tasks. I collaborate closely with clients, families, and caregivers to ensure financial needs are met with care, clarity, and dignity.

My Grandpa lived to be 98 years old, a Navy veteran, a hardworking business owner who ran his own plumbing company.  He understood responsibility - not just to customers, but to the people who depended on him.  

Growing up around him and the older generation, throughout my life, gave me a natural respect for the wisdom, independence and the pride that comes with age.  I loved hearing his stories and learning from his example - like the way he taught himself to play the organ or navigate new technology, always curious and persistent.  As he aged I gained insight into how quickly paperwork, finances, and systems can become overwhelming later in life - especially as he began to experience dementia.   

That understanding is part of why Fergie Solutions, particularly Fergie Cares, exists.

Not to take control - but to provide support while preserving independence, helping others maintain dignity and confidence as they navigate the complexities of daily life.

Fergie Solutions was born from a genuine desire to help others feel more in control of their financial lives. After decades working in small business finance and in my personal life, I saw how many people — especially seniors, individuals with disabilities, and their families — were quietly struggling to manage everyday money matters.

I realized I could offer more than just bookkeeping. I could offer peace of mind.

That’s when I created Fergie Solutions to bring together two branches of meaningful support:

• Fergie Cares offers one-on-one, compassionate assistance for individuals who need help managing bills, paperwork, and spotting potential fraud.

At the heart of both is the same mission: to provide reliable, respectful, and personalized support to those who need it most.

  My mission is simple: to make life easier through clear, compassionate, and confidential financial support.
